Icelandic Hekla Club Samkoma 2012
The 2012 Icelandic Hekla Club Samkoma, held Saturday April 28th at 5:30 pm, was a great success!
We celebrated the 30th Anniversary of Academic Exchange between the University of Minnesota and University of Iceland.
The Evening was a Benefit for the Val Björnson Icelandic Exchange Scholarship.
Members of the University, current and former Val Björnson scholarship students, and friends of the Icelandic community gathered for a festive spring celebration. This year's Samkoma was held in the Campus Club's beautiful West Wing room on the 4th floor of Coffman Memorial Union at the U of MN. We enjoyed the West Wing's sweeping views of the University Campus, Mississippi River and downtown Minneapolis!
