ICC of BC - SCHOLARSHIPS

The Icelandic Canadian Club of British Columbia has established a fund to provide financial assistance to students of Icelandic descent, who are residents of B.C., and who are beginning or continuing a program of post secondary education in B.C. For an application form, write to the:

Dr. B.T.H. Marteinsson Memorial Scholarship

- This award is given in the memory of the late Dr. B.T.H. Marteinsson, a well known and respected member of the medical profession, to a student in a Health-related discipline, e.g., medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, etc.

Anne Eyford Memorial Scholarship
- This award is given in memory of Anne Eyford, a well-known and respected member of the Icelandic Community in Vancouver, to a student in the Fine Arts field.

Anna B. Nash Memorial Scholarship
- This award is given in memory of Anna B. Nash, a respected teacher and member of the Icelandic Canadian community in Vancouver, to a student in Education-related studies.

Thordarson Scholarship
- This award is given in memory of the parents and sister of Theodore and Sigriður Thordarson to a student or students enrolled in the study of Health, Law or Education.

Warren Oddsson Memorial Scholarship
- This award is given in honour of Warren Oddsson, son of Art and June Oddsson, to a student enrolled in the study of Fine Arts, History or Humanities.



The Icelandic Canadian Club of British Columbia is also pleased to be able to offer the following financial award:

ICCBC Open Scholarship - ICCBC has established a scholarship for post-secondary school students who intend to pursue or are currently pursuing an educational program which will include, but is not limited to, the study of Icelandic culture, language, literature, genealogy and/or traditions. This scholarship is open to any resident of British Columbia and applicants for this award need not be of Icelandic descent. A single scholarship of $1000 will be awarded.
