on Paper Iceland's
landscape captivated me instantly. |

Porthole to Heaven Mixed Media
on Paper In the outskirts of Reykjavik is the area of Geysir. There land is smattered with pools of crystal blue boiling water, some of which blow their contents up to fifteen feet in the air soaking the surrounding rocks causing painting-like colour reactions. |

Looming Mixed Media
on Paper Landscapes in Iceland change drastically within short distances. One moment you could be surrounded by black lava and meters away the lava suddenly changes to green moss covered stone and yellow ochre grasses. |

Solitude Mixed Media
on Paper The impression of vastness permeated my being. Iceland's great open valleys are barren of most vegetation before banking steeply into cathedral-like pinnacles so simple, raw and powerful, yet not intimidating. |

Stolen
Moments Mixed Media
on Paper Iceland is a very old culture and I instantly felt the old memories of times long ago. It was as though history had been etched and recorded in every grain of sand, rock and drop of water and is felt with the strike of every foot-step. It was as though my ancestral ties were thirstily soaking up every impression. |
