Waterfront Centre is seen here attached to the Betel Home. Notice the famous T33 Jet on a pedestal.
.

Lake Winnipeg is seen in the background. All exterior views taken in Feb.-Mar. of 2005.
.

Entrance to the Waterfront Centre. Walkways have been shovelled for the visitors and residents on the upper floors.

Notice the exterior sign for the Íslendingadagurinn Souvenir and Gift Shop on the left. Also in this building is the Museum and Amma's Kitchen cafe.

The Waterfront Centre foyer. Entrance to the New Iceland Heritage Museum is on the right, elevators for building residents are on the left.

Following the signs we arrive at the office directory and a corridor. We go around the corner and down the hall, looking for 103....

Hmmmm... nice artwork...

Now where is 103 ?...

Ahhh ha!

The door's open, I guess she must be in.

Knock, knock... "Rosa???"

Oooops, she's busy... as usual.... Office hours are:
9:00 am - 1:00 pm,
Monday to Friday.

The INL of NA Central Office has become an important work and information centre for all its member and affiliate organizations. Rosa spends a considerable amount of time talking with people from all over North America. She deals with many questions and requests for information on a daily basis. Email is another popular way of contacting the ever busy "Rosa". And then there's our Website as well.

Day-to-day chores are handled with a smile. She could be working on League meeting minutes, meeting agendas, paper correspondence, email, or reminder details for the next Convention in Wynyard, SK.

Rosa has also volunteered to be the Treasurer for the League and is finding the two tasks to be very demanding of her time.

The office contains the basics with a small table for meetings, visitors and coffee breaks.
.

And when work is done... it's home to her "hobby farm" just outside of Gimli.
.

Rosa has discovered that she has an ability and interest in art. So...being of Icelandic background and living by Lake Winnipeg, the inspiration for her first painting came quite naturally.
